Kevin Costner’s Secret to Devilishly Handsome Aging

"Being a celebrity is probably the closest to being a beautiful woman as you can get."

Kevin Costner has been a household favorite since the 1980s. An actor, producer, and director, the Yellowstone star has an astonishing amount of talent. Everyone seems to agree that it is a lethal combination when paired with his roguishly good looks. But what does he do behind the camera that keeps him looking like a silver fox? Read on to discover his secret for longevity and aging like fine wine!

Costner (now 68) has always taken a lot of pride in being a family man. A dedicated husband and father, he also took a four-year break to spend more time with his wife and kids. He’s also a humanitarian, caring about causes like cleanliness and the environment. We think these positive outlets work as powerful stressbusters, helping him live his best life and age gracefully.

It’s no surprise that being in showbiz requires actors to maintain a certain level of activity daily. While he doesn’t get the chance to partake in a lot of golfing these days, as he shared on The Rich Eisen Show, “I don’t get out much,” he shared that he grew up playing traditional American sports like basketball, football, and baseball. Now, his high activity levels are all a result of giving his little children competition, even during playtime! He enjoys horseback riding and heading to the tide pool with his kids. Oh, and did we mention just lifting and running after them!? Speaking to the Chicago Sun-Times, he called it the “daddy workout,” saying, “Forget hand weights. Just lift my kids about a million times a day!”

As the owner of a delightful Santa Barbara ranch that comes with a horse trail and a path to the ocean, he thrives in the great outdoors and loves to live off the land. He appears to take a little bit of a hunter-gatherer approach, as compared to the glitz and glam of Hollywood, often passing time by going out to hunt quail and rabbit or fish for lobsters. While discussing his ranch life on the Late Night with Conan O’Brien show, he explains this further, saying, “I’m not pushing cattle around, but I work it. I build the roads and do all the stuff, just because it’s what you do.”

In the midst of all this, he’s made a pretty solid discovery that he recently revealed in his birthday post on his social media – “Don’t believe what they say about getting older.” He doesn’t seem to take aging very seriously, which is a great farewell to all the stress that comes with it. Treating every passing year as a gift, Costner believes that life has been getting better year after year.
