Joan Jett’s Fitness Routine Will Blow Your Mind!

"My guitar is not a thing. It is an extension of myself. It is who I am."

In the dazzling realm of rock ‘n’ roll, Joan Jett stands out with an exceptional career spanning over 45 years, showcasing her talent as a guitarist, songstress, and vocalist. The I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll singer began her career in the 1970s and experienced breakthrough success in the challenging world of rock music. While Jett’s glorious climb to fame grabs attention, it’s her strict fitness regime that has got her fans talking.

The Current

Widely known as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” Joan Jett fronted the all-female rock band The Runaways in 1975, breaking barriers in the fiery yet male-dominated world of punk and rock music. Later, when The Runaways disbanded, she formed her own band, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, in the late 1970s.

The Up Your Alley creator started her successful record label, Blackheart Records, in 1980 with Kenny Laguna and launched many artists and bands like The Eyeliners, The Cute Lepers, and The Dollyrots. Juggling powerhouse vocals, electrifying stage presence, and managing the business, the 65-year-old singer must focus a great deal on her body to keep the show running. And when it comes to health, Jett’s killing it!

The Current

As a motorcycle enthusiast, Jett often embarks on biking hikes and does 50 push-ups during commercial breaks. “Most days I feel like 25,” Jett told The New York Times during an interview some years back. The Everyday People singer credits her toned physique and youthful vibe to her lifestyle or, more precisely, a grueling performance schedule. Just this year, she has about 36 upcoming concerts lined up across two countries. “It’s so physical,” Jett told The New York Times while opening up about her work days. Apparently, she has also been doing punk-rock workouts since she was 15!

Joan Jett’s commitment to fitness extends beyond just exercise. The creator of Bad Reputation fuels her body with wholesome, green food. She also safeguards her skin from harmful sun rays and avoids unhealthy habits. The nature of her work demands the star to maintain boundless energy constantly, but it’s her discipline and dedication to healthy living that propels her forward on the path to a healthy and successful life.

Jett is also an active supporter of all communities and uses her voice as a powerful instrument to promote equality. As a role model for women across generations, Jett wants to set an example of what girls can actually do. “It was a lot about making it O.K. for other girls to do this,” she added, urging more women to play rock ’n’ roll. Besides her inspiring life story, Jett’s youthful appearance, which she maintains well even in her sixties, leaves her admirers in awe, further cementing her status as a timeless singing sensation.
