Uber-famous for his four-time Emmy-winning role as Walter White in Breaking Bad, 68-year-old Bryan Cranston has also been making his mark as a fashion icon. Given the intense popularity of his show and subsequent films like Godzilla, Kung Fu Panda, Drive, and others, none of it comes as a surprise—he’s rocked the red carpet aplenty with his slightly unconventional signature style that combines formality with a whole lot of flair.

Perhaps one of the best-guarded secrets to his dapper looks is the cut of the outfit itself. Custom-fitted and well-cut suits are his most common go-to, which he jazzes up with fun, eye-catching elements that help him effortlessly stand out from the crowds. One of the easiest ways he does so is by picking a snazzy tie with a classic or double-breasted suit. From coral pinks to prints and patterns, he’s been spotted in various ties that elevate his suits to the next level.

Another aspect that sets him apart from the crowds is the very fabric of his suits. Instead of the regular wool or suede, you’ll often spot him in unconventional fabrics and embellishments, such as a velvet jacket or a custom-embroidered tuxedo, that ensures all eyes are on him, even at dress-coded black-tie events.

Of course, there’s no way we can wrap up this conversation without mentioning his favorite go-to look! He loves to stick to his guns with those classic blue suits, albeit with a little pizzazz from pinstripes, checks, or other patterns that never disappoint.

To stay looking dapper for his roles and the red carpet, he had also once shared his post-shoot ritual with The Mirror, saying, “At the end of every day, I take two hot, wet towels, moisturizer, and I take the make-up off and put the hot towels on my head and face and wipe all the energy away. Get rid of all that bad juju!”, he adds.

Given his chic sensibilities on the red carpet and his personal life, it’s no surprise that designer Ronny Fieg had him lead Kith’s Spring 2023 collection campaign. A polar opposite of his on-screen Walter White persona, Cranston modeled a range of knit and sewn outerwear with a little old-timey, vintage-like flourish. From leather car coats and coach’s jackets with intricate patchwork to cardigans and polo medleys that can take years off one’s age, he was a sight to behold in every look.

Whether wearing classic suits with a twist on the red carpet or contemporary dressing that gives you an edge with the younger crowds, Bryan Cranston has been rocking it all in the professional space and how!
